Magic: The Gathering
13 sets · 369 cards
The first trading card game, created by Richard Garfield in 1993. 30+ years of continuous releases. The Reserved List guarantees certain old cards will never be reprinted. Universes Beyond (crossover IPs like Marvel, Final Fantasy) is now a major product line.
The Reserved List creates a hard price floor for vintage cards. Commander demand drives singles prices more than Standard. Reprint risk is the #1 factor: any card can tank when reprinted, except Reserved List.
